This is the first time I've done make up to someone for a pageant. My friend Bryan and I decided to be partners in crime in doing Mae and Richard's Make Up for the UP College of Home Economics Mr. and Ms. CHE 2012.
Th experience was great! I love the feeling of doing make up under time pressure. All the panicking and stuff was very exciting for me. I know this sounds weird but that's what i enjoyed the most during the preparation period for the event. Mae was very pretty in the first place. She does not have blemish on the face which made it easier for us to apply make up on her. She didn't even need a concealer on her face because there was nothing to cover.
I won't blog that much about the experience or what happened that night but i want to show you guys what make up was used on her. The concept was searched on the internet the night before. I was looking for some ideas and so as my partner Bryan and we finalized what are we going to do with Mae's make up. We focused more on the eye make up because that's what we want to showcase the most during that night. Then the foundation routine was just a regular one and the lip make up was very neutral. We also wanted to achieve a dewy look for her because we think it's perfect for night events.

A lot of good and affordable restaurants has came out especially here in Metro Manila and it is rare for me to eat at places that are not so near my house and school. Not to mention that whenever i look for a good place to eat, air-conditioned restaurants come to mind. that's why i love it very much whenever simple-looking eateries impress me with their food.
Tapsi ni Vivian at Bulaluhan was recommend by my friend Ace and we decided to have lunch there over a month ago. This was located around Anonas area which is not the usual place i go to but she assured me that food in this place is very worth it.
Upon entering the restaurant, i kind of expected the al-fresco place and what i liked about the interior is the bamboo-themed interior. Bamboo poles were used as walls and decoration There were also nipa hut tables where customers can eat. The place is also filled with plants everywhere to go with their concept.
The restaurant offers Filipino cuisine with wide variety of dishes to choose from. As usual we got their bestsellers: Tapsilog and Bulalo!
Tapsilog was sweet and salty at the same time. It has a different kind of taste from the usual Tapsilog that i tried. The meat was not very tender but it's just right for a beef tapa. The flavor was okay and even though the serving is not that big, it's good for one cup of rice. The egg that goes with it was cooked well so i have no complaints. This meal is very worth it for 85 pesos.
I do not eat Bulalo very often that is why i can only compare this with those found in Tagaytay or Baguio. I can say that they are very comparable. This is worth 225 pesos and you get a very big serving of it plus you can refill the soup for free. I don't know with you guys but the best part for me in a Bulalo is the soup (For some it's the marrow i guess). You get to taste all the flavors from the bone, marrow, and the vegetables in one sip. That's what i love in this one. I think this is not normal but i actually liked the bulalo more than the tapsilog.
Overall i would like to thank my friend Ace for introducing this restaurant to us! :) I would definitely go back if i have time. The only negative thing i could say about this restaurant is that the place where we stayed was beside the parking lot so the smoke from the cars outside the restaurant sometimes bothered us. Without that, the food in this place is a must try! <3
I just noticed that this weekend has been a shopping weekend for me! After the Great Northern Sale, here comes the SuperSale Bazaar held at the World Trade Center! My mom and i have been waiting for this and i kind of prepared myself (money-wise) for this shopping escapade.
We arrived at the venue at around 12nn and we were very hungry so before we get inside we decided to have lunch first. After that, we went browsing some stalls and it's how funny that we kind of had like a system in shopping. First, we browsed everything! We checked all the stalls on what stuff they got but we didn't buy anything yet. After one round, we started again and that's the time where we bought some stuff. It's kind of tiring (our system) but i think we got the best items for ourselves since we had a system. I think my mom's thinner than me so it's very easy for her to shop some clothes (sad). She bought some tops and shorts of different kinds and i got some clothes too! And of course make up! I wasn't able to take pictures of everything i got but here's some pictures from the event!
I forgot the name of the store where we got these shorts but it was only for 199php. The girls in my family (Mom, Me, Sister) wear shorts on an everyday basis and i think we have more shorts than pants. After seeing the price, i think my mom was very decided that we should have one. There were a lot of designs to choose from and i chose this kind of rugged maong shorts.
I am a follower of Say Tioco Artillero on youtube, blogger and twitter so i am aware that she's going to be attending the event during that day. As we passed by the Makeup Hub by Naturele Collezione she was there and she immediately said hi as she saw us. She's very friendly and giggly and as i was going through the products of the stall she was talking to my mom because my mom doesn't wear makeup that much, only the basics so maybe she thought my mom was getting bored while i was shopping and that was very nice of her. After i got my purchases which was 2 eyeliners from Miners Cosmetics in the shade of Ivy and Indigo, we had a picture from her camera and my camera! This shot was from my camera of course! and the other one is found on her blog.
My mom was supposed to have her brows done by Say but her eyebrows were kind of "messy" that day and Say wasn't able to bring her tweezers with her.
I am with the owner of the store where i got 2 very beautiful colored blazers! I got one in royal blue and one in red! I was supposed to get just one but she gave me a discount if i buy two and that's it! I got the same kind of blazer in 2 different colors! I am very happy with the clothes i got from her store and i am very excited to wear those! I hope the weather here in the Philippines would allow me!
I think we got a little bit busy while shopping that we forgot to take more pictures! I also didn't take pictures of the things my mom bought! This is a shot after we are done shopping! Yes, we shop fast!
Before going home we had some snacks and bought the oreo cheesecake cookie and red velvet cupcakes from Sophie's Mom! I love the oreo cheesecake cookie but i think i have tasted better red velvet cupcakes but this ones not that bad.

The Great Northern Sale is the biggest sale season of SM North Edsa held every year. This 2012, it's held from July 13-15. Luckily my class last July 13 dismissed us as early as 9:30. I didn't go immediately to SM North Edsa because i don't want to wait outside the mall with lots of people especially that day.
i arrived there at around 10:30am and i know already where i wanted to go and that is at the SM Department Store because of three reasons. First, because the gift that i am giving my friend, Regina for her birthday today (Happy Birthday Reg!) is found there. Second, Maybelline offers 20% off to almost all of their products and Third, SM offers and additional 10% discount from 10am-12nn if you have the SM Advantage Card, BDO Rewards, or SM Prestige card.
I was surprised that i got everything i want in 2 hours! and here's what i bought :) After shopping at SM department store i went to Tony Moly, Missha, and Tomato. It seems like i already know what will i buy for this sale that's why i was able to save a lot of time. Here's the items that i got from each store.
I didn't include the one i got from Tomato but basically i got a hot pink top, an orange jacket, and a white jacket of the same design. All at 50% off.
At SM Department Store, i immediately looked for the brushes that i am going to give my friend, Regina and those are the N30 and N32 brushes from Marionnaud. I have the same brushes and both of these are included in my top 5 favorite brush. When Regina saw these, she said she would but the same thing. I hope she haven't bought these brushes yet HAHA i'll find out later. I bought the N30 Large Powder Brush for 180php (200php originally) and N32 Blush Brush for 122.4php (136.00php originally). The next one that i got is the Maybelline Magnum (waterproof). I use this mascara for everyday and whenever there's a sale, i always get one because i get up to 30% discount for this item. This item originally costs 399php and because Maybelline offers 20% discount, it's supposedly 319.20. But then again, i have an extra 10% because of my SM Advantage card so i got my favorite mascara for only 287.28! (What a bargain). This would be my back up in case my Magnum runs out already. Then i got a lip liner in purple. I bought it from the James Cooper section but i am not sure if that's the brand because it doesn't say like it. It says Aqua Germany and this costs around 130php (145php originally). I also got the FX Moroccan Moisture Miracle Argan Oil Leave-in Spray. I find my hair very boring that's why i just want to take care of it at the very least. I am trying out different brands of moisturizing hair spray/mist and i am gonna try this brand for the first time. The hair mist costs around 359php (originally 399php). The last thing that i got from SM Department Store is the Buy1 Take1 City Lady Pantyhose stockings in Safari. I just had to urge to buy this because for this semester, we have a lot of reporting and i am enrolled to my pre-practicum class which both requires the use of stockings.
I was supposed to get some stuff from the Tony Moly section at the SM Department store but they didn't have the product i am looking for and they don't acknowledge the Tony Moly Membership Card so i went to their retail store and i got the Clear Water Lip & Eye Remover. This is not the make up remover i am using but the sales lady talked me into buying this type because you get a free Cats Wink Mascara when you purchase the item. The make up remover was originally 389php and the mascara is at 348php. I got both for 548php which is not bad. Another thing that i got from Tony Moly is their Backstage Gel Liner in #7 which is the turquoise color. I am using this for my sister's 7th birthday on August :)
The last store i went to was the Missha retail store. It was said on their facebook fan page that they had items at 70% off so i wanted to check it out. I also know that their face masks are on sale and i need to refill my stock. The sales lady kind of bothered me there because she kept on offering items and suggesting stuff which i hate. HAHA not really hate but i think stuff that i am not fond of. I must not take it against her because it's normal that we are not of the same taste but i think she must sense that the items i am asking are the opposite of what she's offering. In the end, i got the The Style Lucid Berry Lips in Baby Pink and The Style Powder Eyes in Shimmering Gold for 399php (originally 1330). I also purchased their buy1 take1 face mask and i got the Blueberry Sheet Mask for 120php.
If you haven't been in the Great Northern Sale i suggest you do! There are a lot of great finds and this only happens once a year so don't miss it. :)
Super Junior has come back with a new album entitled Sexy,
Free, and Single. It contains 10 tracks of a combination of both lively and
ballad songs.
I’ll start with the teaser photos. Super Junior never fails
to surprise the fans with new concept every year. This year wasn’t an
exception. Super Junior released photos that showcased high fashion pictures,
make up, and hairstyle. They focused more on the face part for every member and
there were reactions like “it’s too girly” or “wow he looks better than a girl”.
Either way, it just shows that Super Junior can be beautiful in any type of
look. This was definitely out of their comfort zone. This is one step higher in
showing fans the typical sexy Kpop look.
The music video showcased different settings with only one
concept. Super Junior dancing in a box is not a new one for the fans but I do
not think I will comment deeply on it because as I said, fans are used to this.
Nevertheless, I will still wait for the day that SM Entertainment gives Super
Junior a new and different concept in a video like the one in their No Other
music video.
Now it’s time to talk about the physical album itself. I do
not know why Super Junior kept this tradition from Mr. Simple album in
producing really large albums. It's more expensive especially for international
fans because we get this album shipped from Korea. Nevertheless, I think Super
Junior is in the stage wherein whatever album they release, people would buy
it. Good thing they still continue to produce quality albums and this time, I
think it's one of their best.
Sexy, Free, and Single is a charismatic song to begin with
and Super Junior performing doubles the intensity. I like the beat of this song
and the choreography! How crazy is that! The level of difficulty is not that
high but I think if ever other groups would perform the song; it wouldn't be as
cool and as charismatic as Super Junior. The only problem I had was the lyrics
>.< Come on!! How ridiculous is it to have lyrics like "Sexy, Free,
and Single. I'm ready too. Bingo"?? It doesn't make sense that much :( At
first I thought it was "Sexy, Free, and Single. I'm ready to mingle".
I do not have high expectations with the English lyrics of a Koop song but it
is in English and people around me are English speakers. I have friends who are
not into Koop and those hearing this kind of lyrics will give them more reasons
to not like Koop. My point is, Koop songs are already hard to sell to those who
are not a fan of it and I just hope artists or companies won't give them more
reason to hate Koop like putting funny English phrases in their songs. But then
again, haters are always going to hate!
Overall it’s a still an album to rave for. A Super Junior
album is always very worth it with the quality of its songs. They are also one
of the Kpop groups who reach out to the fans and become very touched whenever
there’s outrageous support from the people. Support Super Junior by purchasing
their album Sexy, Free, and Single.

This may be a very late review because Tony Moly had this product ever since they opened here in the Philippines. I tend to use a product for a long time first before i give any judgement to it. Here's a review of the Tony Moly Gold Black Sugar Mask which i have been using for 3 months now.
I've been looking for a facial scrub for quite some time already and i don't know why there's not much for the face. I'm happy i get to purchase this product from Tony Moly for 348php and i am satisfied with the results for the past 3 months!

I think this one contains brown sugar instead of black like what is written on the label. It has a caramel scent which i love and i swear i am addicted to the scent to the point where i open the product occasionally just to smell it. (HAHA WEIRD). This product removes dead skin cells and exfoliates the skin as you scrub it to your face. It also provides moisture which is very essential.
I use this in two-three times a week at night. This is included in my routine but in two different ways because up to now i don't know what's the right one. HAHA. These 2 routines depends whether i have make up on my face or not.

How do i apply this? I apply a certain amount on the back of my hand first just to warm the product then i apply it on my face. The reason for this step is because the product gives off a very strong hot feeling on my face and i wanted to minimize that by warming it on my hands first. The strong feeling is still there but at least my face is not shocked. Next is I massage the product to my face then I leave it to my face for about 20 minutes and wash it off with a lukewarm water. REMINDER: you have to wash it off after 20 minutes, the strong feeling is still there you don't want that product for more than 20 minutes on your face. It might irritate your face if you do so.
I actually like that strong feeling it gives off. Just like the tingling feeling from Tomatox. You can feel the dead skin cells removed from your face (If there's such feeling). But i haven't had breakouts with this product so i guess i am using this until i finish one jar. I do not know yet if i would still buy another one like this because i think i wanted to try out some other masks from Tony Moly :)
I know this is a very weird idea from KFC and it makes me double weird when i thought that there is just one bread for this burger which is the bottom bread and the top cover bread is missing. After analyzing the picture more, that's when i was convinced that there will still be two buns for this one! Anyway, some thought of this product as a joke. For a minute, i think i thought so too. It's just how funny how people wanted to try it just to judge it or see how it looks like or feel how weird it is eating that thing. One afternoon i was alone at the mall and the line at KFC's counter is just short (for once) so i decided to try this burger.
The regular KFC Chicken Burger contains the chicken burger patty, burger bun, mayo, and veggies for 50php. For the Cheesy Top Burger, it contains the same thing except the veggies were replaced with cheese and it was added on top of the cover bread bun. I am a cheese lover and if i could maximize the taste of the cheese ingredient in a food, i would. I am also willing to pay extra bucks for cheese in my dish. This burger made my life better in that sense. Whenever i had cheese burger, i don't get to taste the cheese in it because sometimes, the mayo or veggies' taste is just too strong. With this burger, you get to taste the cheese first because it's on top. The flavor of the cheese will overpower any flavor at first and it satisfied my cheese craving on the first bite. The struggle comes after when you get cheese stuck on your teeth because of the same reason.
Overall, the product was okay for me and i would order this burger over a regular KFC Chicken Burger. In the end, it's still funny, it's a regular burger but when you eat it, there a different feeling to it and i think that's it.

Just because i cannot wait anymore for the music video i decided to remake Siwon's look in their 6th album teaser photos. I made it more girly and had a heavier eyeshadow. This is the first time i colored my brows and i had fun doing it. It's something new for me. I can try to do more make up tutorials using the other Super Junior members' look. Just tell me!
